To support our recent growth and serve our clients even better, Snackboxtogo has recently welcomed Else Meijer as our New Product Development Manager.
New product development has always been part of Snackboxtogo’s DNA. Since the company’s earliest days, the focus has been on creating new and innovative products to, as we like to say, “stay relevant.” This drive to keep improving helps us meet the fast-changing demands of the airline catering industry and offer our customers convenience.As our operations and customer base continue to grow, so does the need to further strengthen our development capabilities. To support this growth and serve our clients even better, Snackboxtogo has recently welcomed Else Meijer as our New Product Development Manager.
Her expertise in food science and product development allows her to turn market trends into high-quality products that work within the unique realities of airline catering. This blend of creativity and technical know-how is exactly what we need as Snackboxtogo moves into its next phase of growth.
In a recent interview with PAX International, CEO Kees Verschuure described her role as follows;
“Else’s role will be key in co-creating new flavor profiles with our airline partners through dedicated innovation sessions,” says Verschuure, “She will also help ensure our offerings reflect global market trends and meet evolving inflight expectations.”
Else has already managed to set up multiple successful product launches. One of her first achievements was developing a halal product line consisting of three sandwiches for a client in the Middle East. This required addressing challenging customer-specific requirements and conditions, including the need for full halal compliance. It was a completely different culinary environment from what Snackboxtogo had worked with before, and Else made it a priority to incorporate the client’s local culinary culture into the products offered. In this way, the customer received something that truly fitted with their culture and cuisine.
A second achievement was designing a caprese panini for a client with routes in Southern Europe. This involved developing a new concept, sourcing new suppliers for key ingredients, and maintaining high quality throughout the process. These examples demonstrate that Else is already a valuable addition to our team and consistently creates meaningful value for our customers.
With this expanded team, Snackboxtogo is strengthening its commitment to creativity, innovation, and sustainability. Our goal remains clear, to deliver convenience inflight snack solutions that are convenient and innovative. By further professionalising our New Product Development team we can serve our customers even better, whether through smarter ingredient selection, improved product concepts, dedicated innovation sessions or closer collaboration. This strengthened approach supports our position as an trusted inflight expert.
